Route description
Startign the day in Orco village we walk on top of the hills above the sea. We take the path along the rocky ridge, sometimes just a meter away from the steep 60m drop of the Boragni cliffs. Climbing the ridge we get to the final sudden drop, where we find a prehistoric worship rock perched on this breathtaking cliff above the caves.
After backtracking a short section we descend into the large amphitheathre leading into the Strapatente cave. We scramble through two caves and descend into Val di Nava.
From here our trail takes us up on the ridge above the Rian Cornei valley. Traversing the ridge north we descend into the hamlet of San Lorenzino. The road winds past some quaint houses before cimbing up to Orco castle ruins at San Lorenzino and a chapel, from where we get one final glimpse of the sea for the day.
By lunchtime we get to the Basecamp Cucco bar, where we can stop to eat or walk the last 30min back up to the Orco parking.
