The following terminology applies to these Terms of Service, Privacy Statement and Disclaimer Notice and any or all Agreements: “Client”, “You” and “Your” refers to you, the person accessing this website and accepting the Company’s terms of service. “The Company”, “Ourselves”, “We”, “Our” and “Us”, refers to our Company. “Party”, “Parties”, or “Us”, refers to both the Client and ourselves, or either the Client or ourselves. All terms refer to the offer, acceptance and consideration of payment necessary to undertake the process of our assistance to the Client in the most appropriate manner, whether by formal meetings of a fixed duration, or any other means, for the express purpose of meeting the Client’s needs in respect of provision of the Company’s stated services/products, in accordance with and subject to, prevailing law of Italy. Any use of the above terminology or other words in the singular, plural, capitalisation and/or he/she or they, are taken as interchangeable and therefore as referring to same.

Shop terms of service

A contract is made and booking confirmed between Kirsti of Hike how you like and the named person making the booking confirmation when payment has been received.

The parties shall use their best endeavours to try to amicably resolve any problems which may occur during their contract. In the event that this is not possible, any disputes relating to either the validity, interpretation and/or execution of this contract will be exclusively governed by Italian Law. All litigation of no matter what kind and inclusive of any summary proceedings will be subject to Italian civil and commercial jurisdiction.

Payment terms

We will process your payment immediately when you insert your payment details in the purchase payment page. Alternatively you can choose to pay by bank transfer or cash on arrival.

Cancellation / withdrawal policy

Services are booked for set dates. You may cancel your purchase with the following refund conditions.

Cancellations must be notified to Kirsti at HikeHowYouLike by the client as soon as possible, written notice by email at: hikehowyoulike@gmail.com or in the Whatsapp chat available on the homepage of this website.

Refunds will be at our direction.

• Before 28 days prior to arrival full refund minus a fee 5€.
• 70% refund 27-14 days prior to arrival.
• 50% refund up until 13-7 days prior to arrival.
• No refunding 7 days or less prior to the activity start or no show.

HikeHowYouLike has the right to cancel any order if we suspect fraud.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, i.e. problems with transportation or weather conditions, it may be necessary to make alterations to a confirmed booking or to cancel the booking completely. Whilst we will make every effort to ensure this does not happen, if it is unavoidable we will contact you as soon as possible.

Minimum number people applies in most activities to form a group, this will be displayed on the activity page. It is to be confirmed at latest 24h before the departure. If we need to cancel the day due to low numbers, we will issue a full refund or arrange for an alternative day if you prefer.

Normal rainy day is not grounds for cancellation, please remember to bring waterproof clothing if needed.

Complaints

We carefully plan all of our adventures, but if something happened during your time with us and you are unhappy, don’t hesitate to send us an email at: hikehowyoulike@gmail.com or speak to us in the Whatsapp chat available on the homepage of this website. For all complaints and issues, notice must be given to HikeHowYouLike within 24 hours of the delivery of the service and confirmed in writing within 14 days following completion of the holiday. Complaints can only be considered when this procedure has been followed.

Service Conditions

You responsible for the safety of all your own personal possessions, documents and equipment.

HikeHowYouLike does not accept any liability wheresoever or howsoever arising or pay compensation for, but not limited to:

• any event which agent could not foresee or avoid. Such events include war, threat of war, civil strike, terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural disaster, adverse weather conditions and fire
• any cancellation, loss, delay or costs wheresoever or howsoever arising or connected with adverse weather or traffic conditions, avalanche, mud slips, slides and snow conditions and the effect any of these may have on your ongoing travel arrangements
• limitations imposed by resort authorities, ski-lifts, or snowshoe hire operators
• travel arrangements made by yourself
• We will not be liable for the damage if the activity is prevented or interrupted due to a lack of or defective travel documents (eg a broken passport) or visa refusal or omission.

We ask you to collaborate in all of our actiities to respect the priciples of Leave No Trace

Insurances

Kirsti has all the necessary insurances and qualifications to provide the services they offer. The client is solely liable for his own equipment and insurances. The activity provider cannot be held liable for any damage caused by the said equipment or for thefts or deterioration.

It is up to the client to ensure you have all your own necessary medical, sports and travel insurance documents to cover yourselves fully before embarking on the activity. No responsibility is or will be accepted in respect of any such failure to insure howsoever or wheresoever.

Kirsti Lehtimaki may, if necessary, refuse a client to take part in the activity without a valid insurance, and the organizer shall not be liable in these cases for any costs or damages incurred to the customer.

Only a search and rescue insurance is provided by the guide to all the paying clients during the activity.

European Health Insurance card:

A free card that gives you access to medically necessary, state-provided healthcare during a temporary stay in any of the 28 EU countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland, under the same conditions and at the same cost (free in some countries) as people insured in that country. Please bring yours with you on the day of the activity if you have one.
